Less than 24 hours after the warranted firing of former FBI Director James Comey, President Trump was unafraid to speak openly with Russian officials regarding his decision. May 10th saw President Trump hold a meeting at the White House with both Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, confidently stating that his firing of Comey relieved “great pressure on him.”
“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Trump said, according to reports obtained by the New York Times. This matches what President told Lester Holt on MSNBC.
The newspaper adds that Press Secretary Sean Spicer “did not dispute the account” and the White House similarly confirmed the Oval Office discussion took place when asked by NBC News. Spicer continued by arguing that Comey’s unfounded investigation had put “unnecessary pressure on our ability to engage and negotiate with Russia.”
Detractors and liberal media may say differently, but President Trump told reporters firmly, “I am not under investigation.”
Much like the charges themselves, the continued investigation is slowly revealing itself to be conjured smoke and mirrors. Sean Spicer seconded that notion and revealed what the public should truly be concerned about, naming the leaks of private and classified information as the “real story.”
That’s why we need to share this right now and comment “I’m With Trump.” The liberal media is working double time to take him down. Let’s show him that we still stand with him.
